Who else is excited about this? I for one am a huge DC fan, Harley Quinn being my favorite, my family and myself are lego fans as well!
Viewing the previews, you can tell it is going to be hilarious! This may be their best lego movie yet! Looking at the cast line-up, all I can say is, it's awesome! I mean who doesn't love Zach Galifianakis, Will Arnett, and Channing Tatum! It's gonna be an epic film for sure!
Directed by Chris McKay, this 3D computerized animated film is scheduled to be released in the United States on February 10, 2017, by Warner Bros. in 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D.
So have you seen that in March the Power Rangers are coming to a theater near you? Let's be honest for a minute, who hasn't made fun of the Power Rangers for like the past 20 years? I'm totally guilty!
I just watched the trailer for the new movie and I am excited to say that it looks freaking awesome! Just the costumes alone have come so far and look completely bad ass! Elizabeth Banks stars as Rita Repulsa; an evil alien witch. Elizabeth is one of my favorite actresses, and for her to play the villian, well let's just say I can't wait!
The pink ranger is played by Naomi Scott, Becky G. Rocks out the Yellow ranger, red ranger is played by Dacre Montgomery, black ranger is Ludi Lin, and the blue ranger is played by RJ Cyler. Let's not forget Zordon who the fabulous Bryan Cranston plays.
The "new generation of heros" as they call them, have become the top news of the comic and movie world right now! Everyone is loving the new concept and the art. The action in this film is definitely going to deliver! So be prepared to go watch this in theaters in march! I'm sure we will not be disappointed!

Until next time,
How is it “socially acceptable” to be a nerd now compared to back in the 80’s? First, when I was growing up, when I heard the word “nerd” my first thought was the movie Revenge of The Nerds. You always think of the boy wearing the thick glasses with tape in the middle, pants up to their chest, and the button down shirt tucked in. Well today when you hear the word “nerd” you think of comic books, novels, movies, video games, or anything that you are a junkie of. I am personally a book nerd and proud of it.
When looking up “nerd” in google this is what you find:
also nurd (nûrd)
1. A foolish, inept, or unattractive person.
2. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept.
That is totally not the case anymore. Lets take comic books for example. The comic book world has become huge over the past 10 years or so. More so lately due to the comic book heroes and villains coming to life on the big screen. Ironman, Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman; have helped bring comics to the “cool” side of the social game!
When talking to a comic book friend of mine, she stated “when I was in middle school there were the “rockers” and “rappers”. Nerds were looked down on and was used to make fun of someone. Now the word “nerd” is used for a group much like those “rockers” and “rappers”, we have a group, a community and more and more people want to be a part of it. You couldn't go to school with a spider man back pack but now if kids do, its actually cool. Nerd is not uncool anymore.” She is right, and I for one am happy to be apart of this era where comics and nerds are cool.
Comic books are so accessible these days, you can find them on the world wide web, book stores, or comic book shops. You can get them in paper form, or E-edition, instead of getting them individually, you can buy graphic novels. Speaking of comic book shops, they have risen as well in the past few yEARS.
Most shops are supplying you with the latest and greatest comics, as well as the Funko Pops that have taken our community by storm. I will be the first to admit that my bookshelf has been taken over by all the Funko superheroes and villains.
So basically what this article boils down to is, you can’t hate on the nerd community anymore. We are in high numbers and are standing up for our right to love comics, video games, superheroes, even Star Trek (which I happen to love Spock). If you are a comic loving nerd inside, then I say be proud and join the nerd side. When you go out shopping, every where you go, you find comic book merchandise piled high! You see it being worn by little super hero wanna be kids, wearing superman t-shirts with the capes!
You see adults with Joker and Harley Quinn attire, it's the new “normal”. So don’t be scared to face public with your Batman vs Superman logo on your chest. Go out and show the world how you rock out your nerd side. Who cares if you have to carry your light saber or wear that mask and cape, be the nerd you were born to be. “Always Be yourself! Unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman.”- author unknown
So until next time my fellow comic book nerds, “Live Long and Prosper”-Spock
